The worst of the summer are those days in which the thermometer is well above 40ºC. No matter how much we stand in the shade, those temperatures are not easy to bear.
If we also live in a place where the weather is humid, the feeling of embarrassment multiplies by two and we can only resort to an air conditioner .
The problem is that these devices can have a rather high price, which increases considerably if the device is also portable.
But for that very reason they invented the “do it yourself” tutorials . For a price 10 times lower than one of these devices we can manufacture one that can do us a good service.
– 2 copper tubes – Connections for copper
– Flexible plastic tube
– One bucket
– Plastic flanges
– One small water pump
– Metal clamps
We place the copper tubes on the front of the fan making a spiral. It is important to leave enough space for the air to pass.
Join the 2 tubes through the pipe fittings. We will attach them to the fan grille with the help of the flanges.
Now place the plastic tubes on the ends of the copper tubing. At one end we will also place the water pump.
If the tubes get too loose we can use a clamp. This will prevent water leakage.
Now we just have to put some water and ice in a bucket, insert the plastic tube and the water pump and turn on the fan.
We will not be able to regulate the temperature at our whim, but we assure you that it will lower the room temperature by several degrees. Next, we want to show you a video where you will see, step by step, how this little summer buddy is built, in case you have any doubts.
